I have been a HUGE Lora Arellano admirer for quite sometime now and she has been an inspiration for me too. When she started Melt Cosmetics with fellow Beauty Dana Bomar I became an instant fan. I’ve waited so long to get this product just because of the price was a bit high for me and it always sold out so quick. A few months ago it finally came back in stock and with a swiftness I made the purchase I wanna say within the first 2 minutes it went live. 🙂
Each month I plan on sharing a list of products I have my eye on (old/new products) which I probably don’t need but that never stopped me anyways 😉
I’m the type of person to not really touch up my makeup throughout the day. When I put my makeup on in the beginning of the day I intend for it to stay put of course 🙂 The only thing I touch up would be my bottom eye liner and lips. And since this is my makeup bag that I take to work it has a lot of easy basic grab n go items.
Not a lot of makeup show events come to the Bay Area so when I found out The Makeup Show Pop-up was coming to town there was no question I had to stop by! It was basically like a mini IMATS which was great since I’ve never been to one yet. It was super crowded but definitely worth it! I’m very proud of myself for not going too crazy… Thank god I made lists! (Picture above via: @themakeupshow on IG) Here’s a quick overview of what I got:
Colour pop highlight (in lunch money)– Highlighters are my true weakness. I have grown to really enjoy this colour pop one! I apply this with this brush (I never use brushes for their real purpose) buff it in and it applies like a dream! So smooth.. love it!
Marc Jacobs Beauty Magic Marc’er Precision Pen Waterproof Eyeliner– I am always trying to find something better than my holy grail stila liquid eyeliner.. dare I say this is up to par to that?! This stays a true black all day for me and does not smudge at the corner of my eyes which is the true test for me. This one is from a Sephora beauty point perk I received a few months back. (hence the tiny cute size.)
L’oreal Brow Stylist Plumper Brow Gel Mascara- I love this brow gel because I can actually wear it alone and still have a natural somewhat full look. I also really like the brush size because I feel like I have more control since it’s a tiny brush applicator. I switch off from the transparent one and the medium to dark colors.
NYX micro brow pencil– I am always on the hunt for a good dupe for my all time favorite-I-cant-live-without-you Anastasia brow wiz and guessss what? I think I found it! I use ash brown which is a really close dupe to ABH medium brown. Bottom line is if you like the ABH brow wiz YOU NEED THIS IN YOUR LIFE… like now.
La Splash Smitten Lip Tint Mousse (in nymph adora) – So happy I stumbled upon this gem via instagram. Lovin’ the mousse consistency because it’s easy to apply evenly on the lips and I don’t have to worry about it setting too quickly. What I also love is that I can actually eat with this on and it stays put!
Tatcha PURE one step camellia cleansing oil– My favorite part of the day is taking off all my makeup as fast as possible. This oil melts away my makeup soo easily even my stubborn mascara. It leaves my skin feeling very fresh and not dry at all. Really starting to like this brand!
NARS Lip Pencil (Bansar)– I found this recently in my makeup stash and I can’t believe I forgot all about this! I love NARS lip pencils because of the satin matte finish I don’t even need a lip liner. This warm rosy brown color has become my everyday lip color choice for a few weeks now.
Too Faced Love Flush 16-Hour Blush in Baby Love– Do I need another blush? No. Did I buy this anyways right when I saw Sandra (ttsandra) rave about it? YES. I’m a sucker for nude blushes just because there a no-fuss kind of product and they go with any look.
Algenist Complete Eye Renewal Balm– This has definitely become one of my favorite eye creams. It’s so lightweight and helps with almost all my under eye concerns. I love the fact that I can use this as a primer for my eyes as well. I can seriously write a whole blog post just about this.
Let me know you current favorites and if you would like a more in depth review on anything!
I have been an avid BITE Beauty fanatic for a few years now. It is one of my go-to brands for many of my lip essentials. Besides BITE Beauty product’s being all natural, using only food-grade, gluten-free ingredients and no parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances or dyes and phthalate these products are also full of antioxidant-rich resveratrol, essential oils and jojoba beads to hydrate your lips.
Resveratrol is a powerful antioxidant that fights free radicals. This can most likely be found in a variety of anti-aging skincare products. Resveratrol also helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. FUN FACT: Each BITE lipstick has the amount of resveratrol in the equivalent of five glasses of red wine.
