I’ll be honest, cold weather is not my favorite. And my skin freaks out a bit when the cold weather starts trickling in. A few months ago, I had a bit of an acne situation so I tried a few new products to calm that down. My recent main skin concerns are to even out my dark spots and keep my skin bright. I went through my stash and found all my favorite brightening and moisturizing products making sure I feed my skin with all the good antioxidants to add to the my Winter skincare routine. Here are a few of my recent favorites that have been working well for me…
Ole Henriksen Truth Serum- Holy grail status right here. I’m pretty sure I’ve talked about this product before. If I had to choose only one serum to use for the rest of my life this is it. I stopped using this for a few months just because I always switch up my routine and my skin couldn’t be happier to welcome it back. Besides the refreshing citrus scent, this serum evens out my skin, brightens and has anti-aging benefits too.
Belif Moisturizing Eye Balm– The newest edition to the eye category for Belif. I received this sample size from an online order. I love this eye balm because of its lightweight gel texture, it gives off a cooling sensation that relieves my under eyes from any irritation from taking off my makeup or fatigue from the day. Its such a refreshing eye balm I’ve been using it in both my morning and night time routine because its one of the most moisturizing eye balms I’ve tried in a long time.
SUNDAY RILEY- C.E.O. C + E antiOXIDANT Protect + Repair Moisturizer- I’ve found a new love for Sunday Riley this year and this product has to be my favorite. Let me start off my saying the scent of this moisturizer is AMAZING. The citrus scent lingers on the skin but I don’t mind at all. This creamy moisturizer can be thick (but not greasy) so I always use it in my nighttime routine. It has a super high-potency of vitamin c that helps keep my skin radiance, fights visible signs of aging and helps with hydration. The ingredients in this also helps with environmental stress to the skin, has antioxidant protection to the skin for a visibly younger, softer and healthier looking complexion. Healthy glow? YESSSS.
Tatcha Camellia Beauty Oil- This was a splurge item for me. But I definitely don’t regret it! If my skin feels extremely dry this is my go-to. This lightweight oil makes my skin feel and look healthy and hydrated. It absorbs quickly too. Its also packed with antioxidants and essential fatty acids to help nourish my skin. This beauty oil also has crushed 23-karat gold flakes leave a subtle gleam on the skin. This has become my new favorite oil that you can actually use on your face, hair and body. (Here’s a close up of the gold flakes in the bottle..)
Mario Badescu Rose Water Spray- Even though this is an old product used by many in the beauty community this is new to me. I haven’t found my favorite toner yet but this might just be it.. A toner is an essential step in your skincare routine for the fact it helps remove excess oil and traces of any dirt from any heavy skin products you wore that day. I love this one because its so refreshing on the skin and preps my skin for my moisturizer.
Glossier Coconut Balm DotCom- Last but not least, my most essential winter skincare product is this special gem. You can use this salve for all parts of your body but I have been recently using it for my lips. I love that it isn’t thick and the coconut scent isn’t overpowering. This has become a staple in my nighttime routine.
Let me know some of your winter skincare favorites! and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
