Ok, its officially the first day of Fall but I still have summer on my mind. I can still put up a very late summer time favorites though right? These past few months have gone by incredibly quick. Even though summer for me wasn’t what I thought it would be I still had a good one. These past months I went a bit crazy with the makeup and skincare haulin’ (but what’s new let’s be honest…) and have managed to gather up my recent favorites with a mixture of new stuff and old goodies. I love this transitional stage of the year and I always make sure to update my skincare/makeup routine to suit the new season and try new things.
As you already know, skincare is a topic I can talk about for hours. I’m excited to share I’ve found a new brand I am OBSESSED with. Introducing Leahlani Skincare.
I’ve been searching for a new organic brand I can try and managed to find this one through a blogger I follow. My obsessed ingredients and Hawaii lovin’ self first got intrigued because of the mix of infectious Hawaiian scents and amazing ingredients she uses. Leahlani Skincare is a mix of vibrant botanicals, skin softening clays and delicious tropical fruits made in her private studio on the North Shore of Kauai. I’m just in love.
This this next item reminds me instantly of my favorite place. Once I open up this Mango Body Butter I am transported to my favorite beach in Kona. I put this on any chance I get and drench myself in this especially at night so I can wake up with the smoothest skin. Next is the Citrus and Citrine Regenerating Toner that I wish I could spray on my face all day. This is the most refreshing toner I’ve used. I love the orange/mandarin scent to it and it keeps my face hydrated, awake and gives me that healthy glow that I need. And finally, something I have been searching for, for quite sometime. The Perfume Oil in Pikake is a beautiful pikake scent that lasts on my skin and isn’t overpowering. I love the size of this too since a little goes a long way.
Next on my radar is the mermaid mask, meli glow and mahana coco infusion. I’ll keep you guys posted!
Arrite, onto the other goodies..
Tatcha The Water Cream- This cream quickly became a staple in my skincare summer routine and will transition into fall as well. Majority of the time, I use this oil-free cream at night because of how lightweight the texture is and leaves my skin looking smooth, more radiant and most importantly minimized my pores in the morning when I wake up.
BOSCIA- Charcoal Deep-Pore Exfoliating Peel Gel with volcanic sand- My main skincare concern is large pores and blackheads. I’ve had this in my stash for a while and I’ve only come around to trying it now. I’ve seen results with just one use and minimized a good amount of my pores and cleaned out my blackheads. I plan to buy the full size to see the full affect.
TARTE- Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15- I’ve had this in my foundation drawer for awhile but I actually had to buy another shade of this recently because I got darker (SAY WHAAT?!) so it has been a part of my daily routine for the past few weeks. I love this because it has a my skin but better type coverage to it and gives me a healthy glow I want for everyday use.. Using a beauty blender is the best way to apply for me.
BOBBI BROWN-Nude Finish Illuminating Setting Powder in Nude- This has been on my Sephora purchase list for a long time so I finally caved and got it. I love using this to set when I use the TARTE foundation (listed above) which just adds to giving me that glow within type complexion and not make me look pasty white or too matte.
NUDESTIX- Nudies All Over Face Color Bronze + Glow in Hey, Honey- This was my summer highlighter choice. I can wear this by itself to add a bit of glow to my skin and look sun kissed or pop this on my lids for a quick wash of color. I love the NUDESTIX highlighter sticks because of the versatility and how it has become a must- have in my travel makeup bag.
ColourPop I Think I Love You Palette- My newest baby. This is such a perfect palette for fall. The mixture of metallic and mattes is becoming my new favorite neutral palette. Of course all the colors are buttery and easy to blend just as all the Colourpop shadows are. This will definitely be coming with me on my next trip.
Melt Cosmetics Digital Dust Highlight in Stargazer- I’ll be honest, the only time I buy MELT cosmetics is when they are doing sales because the price points are a bit high. So when this was on sale I jumped on it. This has to be one of the smoothest highlighters in my collection and lasts all day. Looking forward to getting the other colors now!
MARC JACOBS BEAUTY- Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer Lip gloss in Love Drunk- If I had to just have one lip gloss in my life it would be this one.. big statement I know. This is kind of a your lips but better color for me (I sometimes mix it with ‘skin deep’ which is my perfect nude.) Personally, I think MARC JACOBS has the best formulation for lip gloss on the market right now. Not too sticky, it has a nice faint mint scent and incredibly comfortable on the lips.
NARS- Lip Gloss in Instant Crush- My second favorite lip gloss formula. Its always good to have a light medium peachy color in your makeup bag to pair with warmer nudes to add a bit of shine.
Colourpop Lippie Stix in Parker- This is my favorite nude lippie stix from the whole line. This is actually a good example of what I like to pair with the NARS lipgloss to create a perfect nude lip for my skin tone and still stay hydrated.
This was a long one, so thanks for reading all the way up to this point! Let me know what your new favs are!
