As the holidays are coming to an end I thought I would share my thoughts on the holiday palette I used for special occasions this month. The Holiday Kyshadow Palette is an awesome choice to create custom day to night looks.
The Limited Edition Holiday Kyshadow Palette is definitely very eye catching with its jewel toned colors. The palette itself is sturdy and seems very travel friendly. The diamond infused shadows pack a lot of punch once you work with it the right way. A huge plus for me was the mirror that comes with this palette.
Once I swatched the shades they were a bit underwhelming to be honest. I actually had to pack on the color to get a good swatch. More so with the matte shades. The metallic colors had the best pigment pay off especially the ‘frosty’ (silver.) I did have a hard time blending out the last shade ‘silent night’ (deep plum.) My favorite shade out of this palette is ‘gingerbread’ (taupey-brown.) Gingerbread is a good all over the lid color for a quick neutral smoky eye. The lasting power for me was about 6-8 hours but started to fade towards the end of the night. (I used my go-to smashbox 24 hour shadow primer.) I believe this palette works best when using a thicker base like the MAC paint pots.
Overall I would go back to this palette just for the metallic shades since they are gorgeous once packed on the lid. I really like the color combination of this palette.. it’s perfect for the holiday season and can be used for new years eves looks as well. Since it’s limited edition this palette is only available for the next few days! get it HERE.
